Ghana forward Bernard Tekpetey has won the Bulgarian Cup with Ludogorets, ending the season with the League and Cup double.
The 27-year-old, who recently returned from a long-term injury, was named in the squad for the final against CSKA Sofia. Tekpetey was an unused substitute as Caio Vidal netted the only goal of the game to seal the double for the Bulgarian giants.
The former Schalke O4 player has now won the Bulgarian FA Cup for the third time in a row while it is the fourth in the club's history.
His outstanding career in the Balkan nation has seen him win nine major trophies with Ludogorets, including five league titles, making him one of the most successful Ghanaian footballers in Europe.
Meanwhile, Swiss-Ghanaian forward Kwadwo Duah played 85 minutes and had an opportunity to double the lead before he was replaced.
Tekpetey will return to Ghana for the summer break before pre-season begins in July.
He has in the past been linked with a move away from Bulgaria as club from the Dutch Eredivisie establish interest in his services.
However, the injury he suffered took a massive hit on his transfer ambition.
