Ghana forward Kevin-Prince Boateng is set to be sidelined for weeks after sustaining an injury during BeÅiktaÅ goalless draw with Galatasaray at the Türk Telekom Stadium on Sunday.
The 33-year-old had his head in his hands as he was withdrawn in the 67th minute after picking an injury.
Boateng attempted to send in a long ball into the goal area of Galatasaray but he clattered into Mario Lemina.
The Ghanaian was replaced by Adem Ljajic after failing to recover from the tackle.
The former AC Milan attacker is expected to sit out of the side’s next game against Antalyaspor on Saturday.
He has established himself as an integral member of coach Sergen Yalçınâs team since joining on long in the winter from Fiorentina.
Boateng has scored 2 goals in 6 games for the club.
