Management of Turkish giants Besiktas are set to hold discussions with Ghanaian forward Kevin-Prince Boateng over his €1.7million annual salary at the club, Ghanasoccernet.com can reveal.

The 33-year-old joined Besiktas on loan from Serie A side Fiorentina in January but the next three weeks will decide if he will stay at the Istanbul side.

Besiktas would hand Boateng a one-year permanent contract if he plays 45 or more minutes in 10 games.

However, his salary has become a factor and it will decide whether he would stay or leave at the end of the loan in the summer.

Besiktas will pay Boateng 1.7 million euros if the deal is made permanent.

This will affect the team's finances as they have budgeted 18 million euros for next season.

Boateng has played 373 minutes in six appearances and has scored two goals.
