Betway makes donation to Golden Ahafo Deaf FC ahead of Talent Search in Sunyani

Ghana’s leading online sports betting company Betway Ghana as part of its corporate social responsibility has donated sports kits and equipment to Golden Ahafo Deaf FC.

The Sunyani based football club dedicated to people with speech and hearing impairments received items including football jerseys, soccer balls, flat cones and goal post nets.

The donation comes ahead of the second stop of the Betway Talent Search tryouts happening on 11th August 2018 at the Twene Amanfo Park. The initiative which aims at unearthing young unsigned talents between the ages of 18-25 took off in Tamale at the Nobisco Park on 4th August 2018.

Golden Ahafo DFC joins the various communities and organizations across the country that have benefitted from the Betway Corporate Social Responsibility drive. Health facilities in Adabraka, Ayeduase and Tanoso received hospital supplies while the Himan Health Centre in Prestea was also provided with potable drinking water. Health screenings have also been conducted in Accra and Kumasi to provide medical support to the residents.

The handing over ceremony which was held at the Sunyani Coronation Park was witnessed by the coaches, players and management team of Golden Ahafo DFC and Betway Ghana Staff.

Alhaji Iddrisu Liman, Sports Organizer of the team speaking through an interpreter said “We all want to applaud Betway Ghana for their support. We want them to know we cherish their gifts and we will put them to good use.” He also indicated that this donation will go a long way in helping improve the team’s performance.
