Bibiani Goldstars coach Frimpong Manso, has set an ambitious target for his team in the MTN FA Cup, aiming to guide them to the semifinals of the competition.
Manso's confidence stems from his team's impressive performance in the Round of 64, where they defeated defending Ghana Premier League champions, FC Samartex, to progress to the Round of 32.
While acknowledging the challenges that lie ahead, Manso emphasized the team's determination to succeed. "It is our hope to reach the semifinals, but it will be difficult," he admitted.
The experienced coach also highlighted the unpredictable nature of the FA Cup, where lower-tier teams often cause upsets.
"The FA Cup can be difficult sometimes because any team can cause an upset. Lower league teams come into games believing they can cause an upset, so we need to be focused," he added.
Currently, Bibiani Goldstars are leading the Ghana Premier League with 23 points, and Manso will be hoping to replicate this success in the FA Cup.
