Bilic: West Ham in relegation fight? Of course we are…

Slaven Bilic has admitted that West Ham United now find themselves in a relegation battle.

The Hammers were beaten 3-0 by Arsenal tonight which extended their losing streak to five matches and overall winless run to seven.

West Ham sit 15th on the Premier League table with 33 points, just five clear of the drop zone, leading manager Bilic to believe that there is a survival fight set to ensue in East London.

"Of course we are. We don't have to hide it. It's not being negative, it's being realistic," he told BBC Sport.

"I told the players to forget today - we have big games ahead of us. It's a massive game against Swansea on Saturday.

"We are in a fight to keep our Premier League status. We have to start winning games.

"To get that confidence back is the key point. One win will change everything for us. Because three points at this stage of the season are massive."
