Former Asante Kotoko defender Kwabena Edusei has expressed gratitude to coach Maxwell Konadu for believing in him during the CHAN tournament where he excelled.

The towering center-back has moved on to sign for Absa Premiership side Mpumalanga Black Aces.

He has attributed his switch to his exploits at the CHAN tournament in South Africa where Ghana won silver.

“I owe Maxwell Konadu a lot of gratitude. He encouraged me and believed I was top class and I must say that did my confidence a lot of good,” Edusei told GHANASoccernet.com

“My performance during the CHAN tournament played a key role in my view and I think I must be thankful to that man.”

Edusei has been victimized by Kotoko fans who claimed he ditched them and absconded to the rainbow nation to sign for Black Aces.
