Ghana’s U17 Women’s team have completed their training camp in the US and will be travelling to Costa Rica on Monday ahead of the World Cup.

The Black Maidens won two out of the four friendly matches played during their time in America.

The team will now travel to Costa Rica ahead of the commencement of the tournament this weekend.

“We played four friendly matches here – won tow and lost two,” Black Maidens Management Committee chairman Samuel Oduro Nyarko told Metro FM.

“The exercise here has been very successful and we believe it has given the team the right preparation for the World Cup.

“The injury situation in camp is well under control and we believe by March 15, all the players will be fit for the tournament.”

Ghana is drawn in Group B of the World Cup alongside Germany, North Korea and Canada.
