Head coach of the U-23 team, Ibrahim Tanko says the Black Meteors are ready for AFCON qualifier against Gabon on Saturday in Accra.
The Black Meteors have been preparing for the game with a couple of friendlies, and on Wednesday defeated shooting Stars in their final preparatory match.
Ahead of the final round of qualifiers, Ibrahim Tanko revealed the team is ready for Saturday.
“We watched Gabon two days ago when they played Togo in a friendly match and my assistant was there. He brought back some information that we can use to beat them on Saturday," he told Citi Sports.
We have already started working on these bits of information and we implemented some of that in the friendly game. I believe we have everything under control.”
The winner of the two legged game qualifies for the competition in Egypt, which serves as the qualifiers for Tokyo Olympic games next year.
