Head coach of the national U-23 team, Paa Kwesi Fabin has disclosed how important the international friendlies against Japan and South Korea are for him and his team.

The former Black Starlets coach insists the two games will give him the opportunity to access his boys ahead of competitive international games.

The U-23 held their second training on Friday as they prepare for the U-23 team of Japan on Saturday before taking on the Koreans on June 9, 2021.

‘’As you know we didn’t have too much time for training. Since we came this is the second day of training and therefore we have no choice but to get ready for the match,’’ Coach Fabin told ghanafa.org

"This friendly will give me the chance to assess the boys that I am going to work with, with the U-23 so the little time we have had, we have put things together for them to be able to perform,’’ he added.

The Black Meteors missed out on the summer Olympics after finishing 4th at the CAF U-23 Cup of Nations in Egypt 2018.
