Black Queens coach Yussif Bassigi says struggling to understand his sideââ¬â¢s early elimination at the ongoing African Women Championship in Namibia and has refused to take blame.
Ghana were tied on four points in Group B with second-place South Africa but got evicted on goal difference.
Failing to progress from the Group stage meant the Black Queens missed out on competing for the a slot to the 2015 FIFA Womenââ¬â¢s World Cup in Canada
That notwithstanding Bassigi is adamant that is equal to failure.
"I am down; very down. I know I disappointed because nothing could convince me we could not qualify or even win the trophy before the tournament,â⬠the Sekondi Hasaacas coach told the Ghana News Agency.
"The statistics even proved we were not that bad but unfortunately, my expectations were not met.
"But I will not term that as a failure."
