Black Queens forward Princella Adubea opens up on disappointment of not qualifying for Paris 2024

Black Queens forward Princella Adubea has disclosed that she was left disappointed following the team's failure to qualify for the Olympic Games in Paris.

Ghana painfully missed out on qualification following a last-gasp goal from Barbara Banda during the qualifiers against Zambia in Ndola last year.

Adubea was not part of the team due to injury but praised the fight put in by the players during the two-legged game.

"I was sad we didn’t qualify for the Olympics because of the way we planned qualifying together but unfortunately we couldn’t make it," she told Ghanafa.org.

"Even though I wasn’t part of the team, I trusted my girls to deliver but in football, you can’t be 100 percent sure of winning. Sometimes you will lose, sometimes too you will win but I think we can build on the positives from now."

Meanwhile, the Black Queen secured a return to the Women's Africa Cup of Nations for the first time in six years after beating Namibia to qualify for the continental championship.

The team is currently in Japan for the international friendly against Japan on July 13.
