Coach of the Black Satellites, Karim Zito has explained the selection process for the team ahead of November's WAFU Zone B U-20 Cup of Nations.

Zito invited a first batch of 70 players last week to begin a justify your inclusion into the team, as he builds his squad for the tournament, which also serves as qualifiers for the Africa Youth Championship next year.

Another batch of seventy players are expected to report in camp on Sunday, and the former Dreams FC gaffer explains selected players will stay in camp to improve their awareness and sharpness before November.

"We scouted them using four basic criteria, that is talent, awareness, physique and mental strength to help us know what to actually expect. In camp, they have played among themselves for us to see their talent but after this, we are planning to help raise their level of awareness, physique, mental strength," he told the GFA communications team.

According to Zito, players selected from the first batch of seventy players will stay in camp despite the arrival of a new team.

"After going through the various processes, the selected players will remain in camp and those who do not make the mark will leave by Saturday. That wouldn’t be the end for those players because they still have a chance and the team manager will monitor them for future call ups," said Zito.

The WAFU Zone B U-20 Cup of Nations begins on November 12 and ends on 30th of that same month.
