Ghana U-20 forward Richard Danso says he is happy to hit a brace against Benin in the Africa Youth Championship qualifiers on Sunday at the Cape Coast stadium.

The enterprising WAFA forward scored twice as Ghana came from a goal down to beat their Benin counterparts in the first leg of the final round of qualifiers.

The striker, who has been a key figure for Coach Jimmy Cobblah's team in the qualifying series expressed delight in helping the side post a comfortable win on Sunday.

“I am very happy to have scored against Benin,” he told FootballMadeInGhana.com.“We conceded in the first half and things were not going on well for us," he added.

“But thankfully the ball came to me at the right time to score and I scored twice.”

The former Ghana U-17 striker has been impressive with the Black Satellites, and has now scored three times in the qualifiers after getting a goal against Algeria in Ghana.

With the Black Satellites set for the return leg this weekend, a lot will be expected of the forward.

Meanwhile, Coach Cobblah is looking forward to the return of some of his key players who were unavailable in the first leg.

The Black Satellites missed out on the last edition two years ago but will qualify for Niger 2019 if they avoid a huge defeat in Benin.
