Ghana’s Under-20 team held their first training session at Tamale on Thursday evening ahead of their crucial return leg of the 2013 African Youth qualifier against Uganda.

The Black Satellites will battle the Hippos in the reverse fixture on August 12 knowing only a resounding victory will ensure their passage to the final qualifying round against either Morocco or Gabon in September and October.

Head coach Maxwell Konadu is struggling to put a strong side together after missing three key players for the must win encounter.

Latvian-based duo Patrick Twumasi and Joseph Baffour Gyewu and Maritzburg new recruit Frank Sarfo Gyamfi have been recalled by their respective clubs for pre-season.

But Hearts of Oak exciting midfielder Ashitey Ollenu and Fatau Salifu of Inter Allies have been given a reprieve and recalled into the team after they were sacked on disciplinary grounds ahead of the first leg at Nakivubo.

The Ghanaians must overturn a 3-1 deficit suffered in the first leg.
