Black Satellites motivated to beat Senegal- Assistant coach Amadu Nurudeen

Assistant coach of the Black Satellites Amadu Nurudeen says the team is poised to beat Senegal in the second group B game at the Africa Youth Championship on Wednesday.

Ghana's U-20 team began the tournament with an impressive victory over Burkina Faso, and a win against the Young Lions of Senegal will book the Black Satellites a place at this year's FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland.

However, coach Nurudeen, who is confident of victory believes it will be a tough test for Ghana against a "strong" Senegal side noted for the unearthing of good talents.

“Senegal is a strong side because they have a good youth set up but we have put yesterday’s win aside and we’re now concentrating on Senegal,” he said in a pre-match conference.

“Whatever be the case we will play and we’re motivated to win.”

Senegal won their first game against Mali 2-0 and will fancy their chances against Ghana.

"The match will be very important for both teams and we will do our best to win and confirm our place in the next round which is our objective. Ghana is a strong team but side they have their strengths and weaknesses," says head coach of Senegal Youssouph Dabo.
