Deputy captain of the Black Starlets Nathaniel Adjei has set his sights on helping the team clinch the ultimate at the ongoing WAFU U17 competition in Niger.

The Black Starlets reached the final of the WAFU U17 tournament after beating Ivory Coast 2-1 in Niamey on Wednesday.

The team had to rally from behind to score two goals in quick succession late in the first half.

The equalizer was a blistering header through Umar Mohammed before the winner came shortly afterwards by Taufiq Shaibu.

Ghana will face old nemesis Nigeria in the final of the tournament on Saturday.

"Games against Nigeria has always been tough. We are happy to reach the finals first of all. The game against Ivory Coast was a tough one but we managed to make it through,' he told GHANASoccernet.com.

"The game against Nigeria will be very difficult but we are very confident we can beat them. We want to win the competition and I am ready to help us win the tournament and qualify for the Africa U-17 championship."
