Black Starlets to play Nania FC in friendly ahead of WAFU U17 torunament

Black Starlets will play a friendly against Nania FC in Division One on Thursday, May 12 2022 as part of their preparations for the WAFU U-17 Cup of Nations.

Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin's team have been preparing for the competition, which will be held in Niger from Saturday, June 11 to Friday, June 24, 2022, at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence in Pampram.

The Starlets have previously played friendlies against Tudu Mighty Jets, Accra City Stars, Kwaebibirem FC, and Asokwa Deportivo.

So far, the Black Starlets have gone unbeaten in friendly matches, winning three and drawing one, scoring 11 goals and conceding one.

Black Starlets have been drawn in group A of the 2022 WAFU Zone B U-17 Cup of Nations, alongside Nigeria and Togo.

In Group B, Cote d'Ivoire, Benin, Burkina Faso, and Niger will compete.

After failing to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations in 2019, the Black Starlets are determined to do so this time.
