Ghana's home-based national team left Accra on Saturday night to Tashkent for their international friendly clash against Uzbekistan on Friday, March 26 2021.

The contingent included 20 players and management members who will transit in Istanbul.

2021 CAF U20 Cup of Nations winning trio Samuel Ashie Quaye, Percious Boah and Afriyie Barnieh made the cut.

The team will be joined by Colchester United striker Kwame Afriyie Opoku who was originally listed in the Black Stars squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sao Tome and Principe and South Africa.

Head coach Ibrahim Tanko will use the match to prepare for the 2021 WAFU Cup of Nations in Nigeria and the upcoming CHAN qualifiers.
