Ghana international Richard Ofori has opened up on winning the Ghana Premier League title with Wa All Stars (Legon Cities) in 2016.
Ofori played a huge role when the Northern Blues lifted the Ghanaian top-flight for the first time in their history.
They are first club from the northern part of the country to win the Ghana Premier League.
Speaking to sowetanlive.co.za form Orlando Pirates camp based in Spain, Ofori expressed his side went through a lot to annex the league title back in 2016.
“Wa All-Stars were based in the north of Ghana. Sometimes we would play midweek and then again on Sunday, so you travelled between 10 to 14 hours to games. It was challenging. But we managed to play well and keep the team moving forward to still win the league. We went through a lot as a team to win that year.” He said.
The Black Stars deputy captain now plies his trade for South African side Orlando Pirates. He joined the club back in 2020 and since been instrumental.
