Black Stars move up to second Africa's latest Fifa rankings

Ghana leapfrogged Egypt to move to become Africa's second highest-ranked side in the latest Fifa rankings released on Wednesday.

The Black Stars move four places up in the rankings released by the world governing body for November.

Ghana now occupy 29th place in the global ranking but they are just behind Ivory Coast as the leaders in Africa.

Globally Ivory Coast are 16th which gives them the edge ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea next year.

The Black Stars' 2-1 away win over Gabon helped them to move up four places up and to occupy 29th position in the global ranking.
