Skipper of the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan has applauded former Hearts of Oak director Isaac Tetteh (TT Brothers) and the current Vice President of the Ghana Football Association George Afriyie for their immense contributions to football.

The duo for the past decade have invested huge sums of monies in the upbringing of footballers in the country which has been of great benefit to the country as a whole.

Isaac Tetteh who is the currently the owner of second-tier side Pure Joy FC could be remembered for the financial support he gave to the Phobians seven years ago while George Afriyie who is the President of newly promoted second-tier side, Okyeman Planners FC is not a novice when it comes to football.

George has been an influential football administrator from his days with Great Olympics, Gamba All Black and Liberty Professionals.

Until his appointment as the Management Committee Chairman of the Black Stars, George was the head of the Management Committee for the National U20 side.

The contributions of the duo have drawn plaudits from the Black Stars captain who now plies his trade in the Chinese Super League with Shanghai SIPG.

“ I want to thank TT Brothers for supporting football since day one from Accra Hearts of Oak and Mr. George Afriyie," the Shanghai SIPG striker noted during the Sports Fans Awards on Saturday.

"Special thanks to Mr. George Afriyie for the way he handles some of us when we are in distress. Sometimes when I’m down he will pick a phone, call me and speak to me like a father,” Gyan added.
