Blaugrana masks put into use for Barcelona's Wednesday training session

Published on: 27 May 2020

Barcelona were training again on Wednesday as they stepped up preparations for the return of LaLiga, which is likely to be on June 14 against Mallorca.

The session generated two talking points. The first, more of an anecdote, was that the players and the staff were wearing the club's new protective masks.

Quique Setien and his staff wore the 'Senyera' design masks to prevent the spread of coronavirus, while the players wore the 'Blaugrana' design.

The most important news was that from June 1, the squad will be able to train together. At the moment they are working in groups of no more than 14, but Irene Lozano, the president of the Sports Council, has confirmed the next step from next week.
