Elche striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom says his confidence level has ratcheted up a notch after playing against Barcelona in the Spanish Primera Division on Sunday.

The Juventus loanee lasted the entire duration at the Camp Nou when Los Franjiverdes lost 4-0 in their first league match in 2014.

Boakye impressed and smashed the goal post after Alexi Sanchez had given Barcelona a seventh minute lead.

''I played against Real Madrid and scored and now Barcelona which I did so well,” the 20-year-old told MTNFootball.com

"It is good for my confidence because these are the best teams in the world. This’s only the beginning and the future for me is bright."

Boakye has scored three La Liga goals in 15 appearances.
