Boateng absence is opportunity for new emergence - Nyantakyi

The decision of Kevin-Prince Boateng to quit the Black Stars provides an opportunity for the emergence of a new talent, Kwasi Nyantakyi says.

The 24-year-old AC Milan star infuriated many Ghanaians with his decision not to play for Ghana again but the Ghana FA boss insists the decision though disappointing could eventually be a blessing.

“We expected to have all our best players, his absence will definitely take some strength away from the team because you and I cannot replace him,” Nyantakyi told journalists.

“But I also think it is an opportunity for an unknown quantity from somewhere to burst onto the scene and become an instant hero and star, so I think it has both positives and negatives.”

Boateng who obtained a nationality switch to play for Ghana in last year’s World Cup in South Africa won nine caps during his time with the Black Stars scoring one goal.

Yes that is true. Don't forget that Ghana has had many players in the past that were far better than KPB in their days and played their hearts out for Ghana. When those players retired Ghana was able to replace them with equally talented and dedicated players, and that enabled us to play in two successive world cups and did that in a style. KPB will never be missed. After all we qualified for the world cup that he played at without his input.

Nyantakyi, once again you are wrong. He is replaceable. What is wrong with you and your infatuation with KPB. He plays a position where we have more than enough outstanding players to replace him. I do not understand your point. If you do not have anything to say then do not open your mouth at all. USA

As somebody must die for another to be born, so must some go for others to come. U can never tell what could be in stock for Ghana or KPB.
