Bologna coach commits future to club despite AC Milan interest

Bologna coach Roberto Donadoni has hinted at his intention to stay with the Rossoblu amid speculation of a move elsewhere.

The Felsinei have heavily improved this year under the former Parma tactician, following a difficult start to the season, success which has in turn seen the 52-year-old linked with moves to his former club AC Milan and the Italian national team.

“I really think I am going to stay here in Bologna,” Donadoni was quoted as saying, during a discussion with students of the Salvemini Institute in Bologna.

Such comments come as a sigh of relief to the Rossoblu faithful, who will be less than willing to lose their coach just months after he joined.

However, it remains to be seen whether Donadoni will keep his word come the summer, as AC Milan vice-president Silvio Berlusconi is reportedly chasing his signature, as he grows increasingly frustrated with the under-fire Sinisa Mihajlovic.

Having spoken several times of his desire to coach a top club, a switch to the Rossoneri could be tempting for Donadoni, having spent the duration of his career at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
