Bologna coach Roberto Donadoni praised his side’s first-half display against Lazio at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara but says the Rossoblu paid a heavy price for their performance after the interval.
The hosts surrendered a two-goal lead in the second-half after Adam Masina was dismissed for a challenge on Miroslav Klose.
“The thing that matters is the end result,” Donadoni told Rai Sport after the game.
“We had a great first half, while in the second half we paid a price heavily for not playing well..
“We conceded two goals, including a penalty which was avoidable.
“My players gave their all but they were punished for making mistakes.”
The results leaves Bologna in 15th place in Serie A with 23 points from 20 games.
