Bologna striker calls on side to manage games better following Lazio draw

Bologna striker Mattia Destro believes his side have to manage games better following their 2-2 home draw with Lazio at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.

The former Inter youngster scored to make it 2-0 but Lazio fought back with two second-half goals following the dismissal of left-back Adam Masina.

“We must be better at managing important moments in the match,” Destro told Premium Sport after the game.

“Today we played against a strong team that put us in difficult positions.

“We played well until the dismissal, then we began to really struggle.”

Destro then spoke briefly about a potential return to the Azzurri fold for the upcoming European Championship this summer in France.

“It is my goal to return to the national team, I want to continue to do well here so that I can earn a place in the squad for the summer,” Destro concluded.

The result against Lazio leaves Bologna in 15th place with 23 points from 20 games ahead of their trip to Sassuolo next weekend.
