English side Bolton Wanderers have opened talks with striker Joe Dodoo for contract extension following an impressive campaign in the League One.

The former Leicester City youngster joined Bolton on free transfer in October 2019 on a seven-month deal after leaving Scottish giants Rangers FC in September.

Dodoo made 25 appearances in all competitions for the relegated league one outfit this season where he scored four goals and assisted other four.

The 24-year-old winger has failed to reach his full potential after making a huge impact on his Leicester debut netting a hat-trick against Bury on 26 August 2015 in the League Cup.

The former England U18 star who is also eligible to play for Ghana also played for Bury, Charlton Athletic and Blackpool FC.
