BB Erzurumspor are set to terminate the loan contract of Ghanaian midfielder Yaw Ackah after he picked a "suspicious" red card in the side's 1-1 against parent club Kayserispor at the weekend.

The Turkish side is fuming rage after the 21-year-old picked up a second yellow card in their stalemate at home.

The club has decided to file a criminal complaint over allegation of "shady" antics in the match.

Ackah joined BB Erzurumspor on loan from Kayserispor last week but is now facing the sack after just a week at the club.

"In the Super League, during the transfer period of the 2020-2021 season, Yaw Ackah, which we have included as a loan from Kayserispor to our squad, is very important for our team, Kayserispor match is red in the 35th minute. The player has been excluded from the squad indefinitely due to receiving a card and his contract will be terminated, a club statement read.

The Ghanaian was shipped on loan to  Erzurumspor for the remainder of the campaign due to his struggles at Kayserispor.

The Erzurum-based outfit have an obligation to purchase him permanently in the summer but that will not happen as he is billed to return to his parent club.

Ackah played 13 times for Kayserispor in all competitions before leaving for Erzurumspor on Monday.
