Alonso talks about why he left Ferrari: The atmosphere in the team was negative
Recall, that Fernando Alonso represented the “Scuderia” from 2010 to 2014 and became vice-champion three times.
“Those years at Ferrari were very intense. A couple of times we were very close to winning the championship, and those missed opportunities put a heavy burden on everyone’s shoulders. At one point the atmosphere on the team was negative and I decided to leave even if I had two more years on my contract because it was better for both sides.
Now I still really want a third championship, but at the same time I understand how the sport works now, and you only have a couple of cars in Formula 1, with which you can win the championship,” – Alonso said to BBC.
