Chelsea prepare to lock horns with Brentford tomorrow at the Brentford Community Stadium as Graham Potter features in his side’s press conference ahead of the game.

Chelsea are yet to lose a game under the new boss and they look to continue the feat after beating Aston Villa 2-0 at the weekend.

The West Londoners after the switch in management have seen a new project spearheaded by former Brighton Manager, Potter who took over from Thomas Tuchel weeks ago.

Below is the full press conference from Potter ahead of Chelsea’s game against Brentford on Wednesday.

Graham Potter on team news: “It’s as we were, no problems from the weekend.”

Graham Potter on Kepa being no.1: “It’s better to let football decide. Kepa has done really well and been fantastically supported by Edou and Betts. Kepa’s form is really pleasing for everybody.”

Graham Potter on Denis Zakaria speculation: “No decision has been made [over future]. Denis has been training well, ready to help the team. There is no talk of anything. He’s an important member of the team, he’s been patient and waiting for his chance.”

Graham Potter on Jorginho contract situation: “No update.”

Graham Potter: “Brentford are really good at what they do, Thomas [Frank] has done a really good job. They make the most out of what they have, credit to Thomas and everyone at Brentford. They use Ivan Toney well, attack with clarity and defend with organisation.”

Graham Potter on Brentford boss Thomas Frank: “[I rate him] Very [highly].”

Graham Potter on Thiago Silva: “We need to make sure the recovery is right. No problems injury wise.”

Graham Potter on Kepa Arrizabalaga: “I’ve been really impressed with his character, personality, understands the game well, takes responsibility.”

Graham Potter: “They align the resources really cleverly. The way they play fits the players they have. Set plays very dangerous. Ivan Toney is as dangerous as anybody in the league. They have a spirit and understanding, really well motivated and organized. Credit to Thomas.”

Graham Potter: “It’s a credit to the players, you can’t defend with a settled four or five because the games are relentless and challenges are huge. It’s about the togetherness of the squad. If you’re prepared to suffer, you give yourself a chance to get a clean sheet and win.”

Graham Potter on Mason Mount: “It’s a joy. He’s a fantastic person, loves to play football and loves the club. Surprising I get questions over mixed opinion… I find it strange. He’s got everything you need to be a top, top player.”

Graham Potter on managing Thiago Silva: “I have to involve him in the conversation. He’s 38, he’s really important for us. We have to manage him correctly and he has to be involved in the process.”
