Ronaldo in his second part of an explosive interview with TalkTV’s Piers Morgan has provided an honest response to if he is now playing football for money or passion.

Cristiano Ronaldo turned down a $350m deal to remain at Old Trafford last summer, a decision which he has disclosed was very hard for him to take.

The player is now currently in a big-fallout with Manchester United and an exit is now very much possible by January but according to him, rejecting a move away from Old Trafford last summer was actually because he love the club and wanted to stay.

With a hard interview now granted so easily and very much said in just 90 minutes, it’s clear that he is 80% leaving Manchester United as Erik ten Hag already demanded he is taken off the team.

His next club is yet to be learned but won’t be a secret anymore after January when he will make a move away from Old Trafford if the board decides against him staying but would his next move be centered on cash or passion?

Ronaldo made a tough decision when he decided to abandon his trip to Etihad Stadium for a diversion to Old Trafford when Manchester United intercepted him at the Airport and Sir Alex Ferguson played a key role in landing him back at Old Trafford. Indeed he chose passion over money then, but would he repeat same come January. Here is what the five time Balon d’Or winner had to say;

“Exactly, the record, the adrenaline. But Piers, let’s be honest, the last year’s football changed. I see football now as a business to be honest.

“The passion for the game is still intact. But in the same way, I saw other things as well. Which surprised me but in the same way. It’s part of the business because if you see the world, how it is at the moment, it’s all business.”

Ronaldo prepare for the World Cup with Portugal but wasn’t among the team that beat Nigeria 4-0 in a friendly tussle on Thursday night.
