As many as three players will not be in the Manchester United squad against Nottingham Forest.

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has ruled three players out of the Nottingham Forest game due to injury and lack of fitness.

Man United will look to bounce back to winning ways on Wednesday after losing 3-2 to Arsenal on Sunday in the Premier League.

Manchester United will dare to put the defeat behind them when they face Nottingham Forest away from home in the semi-final first leg of the Carabao Cup but they are poised on doing that without three senior players.

According to Ten Hag, the likes of Diogo Dalot, Jadon Sancho and Anthony Martial will miss the game against the Tricky Trees.

Dalot suffered a muscle injury against Charlton Athletic early this month.

Sancho returned to training last week but isn’t fit enough to join the squad yet.

Martial missed United’s last two games against Crystal Palace and Arsenal due to a knock he suffered during the Manchester derby.

Speaking ahead of the Nottingham Forest clash, Ten Hag said: “All the players who were not available for Arsenal game, so Dalot, Martial, Sancho, are also not available for tomorrow.”
