Gareth Southgate issues Harry Kane fitness update ahead of USA clash – Qatar World Cup
Gareth Southgate has confirmed that England forward Harry Kane has recovered from a knock and is available for selection against the USA on Friday in the 2022 FIFA Qatar World Cup.
Kane was a doubt for the game against the USA after he came off with a knock late in the game against Iran and was replaced by Newcastle United forward Callum Wilson.
The Tottenham forward, who provided two assists as England trounced Iran 6-1 on Monday, is hopeful of facing the Americans tomorrow according to sources close to the Three Lions’ camp.
According to ITV, England head coach Gareth Southgate has confirmed that the 28-year-old forward will be available for selection against the USA after he passed his late fitness test on Thursday.
