Chelsea boss Graham Potter has lauded debutante Mykhailo Mudryk’s impressive debut away at Anfield yesterday.
The 22-year-old signed from Shakhtar Donetsk for a fee of around £89 million this January, and is set to quickly become a fan favorite after an electric outing at Liverpool.
Mudryk was a 55th minute substitute in Chelsea’s Anfield visit, bringing the game to life with a lot of energy, fine runs, good passes and splendid decision-making and was unlucky not to have found the net in his debut.
Speaking in the aftermath of the game, Potter expressed confidence in the winger’s capabilities and potential contribution to his side’s attacking prowess.
“He’s not played football for a while, he’s been on a mid-season break. He knows he has to keep working hard to get back to full fitness”
“We had to manage his minutes, but you can see his quality.”
“He’s an exceptional talent and will definitely bring a lot to our attack for this season and beyond”
Next up for the West Londoners in the league is a crunchy clash against Fulham at Stamford Bridge.
