Manchester City star John Stones has reacted to Erling Haaland’s latest performance against RB Leipzig on Tuesday evening.
The Citizens celebrated a 7 – 0 victory over the rivals in the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16.
Haaland was unstoppable as he scored five goals versus the opponents to secure his team’s place in the next stage of the European top tier.
The Norway international’s latest goalscoring record saw him equaling Lionel Messi by netting five goals in a single Champions League knockout stage game.
“I’m so happy for him. I keep writing on the match balls nice funny messages,” Stones said as he reacted to Haaland’s display after the clash.
“I think he [Haaland] is going from strength to strength and he’s an even better person. It just shows how happy everyone is for him how we celebrate our goals,” the defender added.
