Moises Caicedo: Liverpool and Arsenal Compete for Ecuadorian Sensation’s Signature

Liverpool and Arsenal are preparing for a summer transfer showdown over Brighton & Hove Albion’s Moises Caicedo, according to transfer journalist Rudy Galeti.

Jurgen Klopp is reportedly seeking to revamp his midfield, and has targeted Caicedo in addition to Jude Bellingham. Liverpool was said to have sought a mid-season midfield addition, but the club’s board declined to make a signing, having already acquired Cody Gakpo earlier in the window.

Arsenal made multiple offers for the Ecuadorian in January but was unable to secure his transfer after Brighton refused to let him go. Caicedo’s contract with Brighton runs until June 2025, putting the club in a strong negotiating position should Liverpool or Arsenal make a substantial offer, rumored to be around £80m.
