Newcastle and Liverpool are both interested in signing Chelsea’s Mason Mount as they look to revamp their Midfield.

Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount is reportedly attracting interest from several Premier League clubs, with his future at Stamford Bridge uncertain. The 24-year-old’s contract with the Blues is set to expire in 2024, and negotiations for a new deal have not yet been successful.

Mason Mount who was an instrumental part of the Chelsea’s team that lifted the 2020/21 Uefa Champions League has attracted interest from various clubs across Europe.

One of the clubs said to be interested in Mount’s services is Newcastle United. The Magpies are reportedly in the market for a midfielder and could make a move for the Englishman if they qualify for the Champions League. However, according to a report from The Athletic , Liverpool is currently in the strongest position to sign the midfielder.

The report claims that the Reds have been monitoring Mount’s situation at Chelsea and have already considered what kind of terms they would offer him. With a need to revamp their midfield, Liverpool’s interest in Mount is said to be serious, but the transfer fee may prove to be a stumbling block.
