Tielemans’ contract expires at the end of the season, and it appears that he will leave the club on a free transfer. Leicester have been unable to persuade the midfielder to sign a new contract, and clubs are already circling in anticipation of a summer move.

Tielemans may believe that a move to Newcastle is best suited for him to receive regular game time after Arsenal signed Jorginho in the January transfer window.

Arsenal bid for Moises Caicedo last month, according to Fabrizio Romano’s Substack column, indicating that they are looking to strengthen their midfield.

However, Tielemans may be interested in joining a club like Arsenal, which has a good chance of winning the Premier League, and he will no doubt back himself to regularly break into the Arsenal starting eleven.

The Belgian is nearing the end of his contract with Leicester City. He appears set to leave the Foxes during the summer transfer window.

According to reports, both Arsenal and Newcastle are interested in Tielemans, with Keith Downie revealing that central midfield is the Magpies’ top priority.

Dean Jones then told GiveMeSport that Arsenal are in a better position than Newcastle to sign the ‘incredible’ Belgian midfielder.

Downie has spoken out, and he believes Newcastle will have to break their salary structure in order to sign Tielemans.

“I think Tielemans would be perfect, but obviously, the issue is they’re going to have to smash their wage structure to sign Tielemans.

The Belgian is only 25 years old and is still in his prime. He’s good on the ball, can score goals and create chances, and is already familiar with the English game.
