Novak Djokovic clinched the year-end No. 1 ranking for a record-extending 8th time following a win over Holger Rune with a 7-6 (4), 6-7 (1), 6-3 score.
During the year, Djokovic also became a record 24 time Grand Slam winner and only missed out on a Wimbledon title.
