In a major blow to Crystal Palace ahead of their match against Manchester United, star player Wilfried Zaha has been ruled out due to injury. The 30-year-old forward, who has been in impressive form this season with six Premier League goals, sustained a hamstring injury in the recent goalless draw with Newcastle.

Manager Patrick Vieira confirmed that Zaha will be out for a couple of weeks and is still undergoing treatment.

“He is still on the treatment table.

“His injury will take a couple of weeks so we will have to do without him.

“Wilfried is somebody who recovers quite quickly. We don’t want to put a date on his injury

Despite this setback, Vieira did reveal that new midfield recruits Naouirou Ahamada and Albert Sambi Lokonga are in contention to make their debuts.

Zaha made a move to Old Trafford in 2013, but failed to establish himself in the starting lineup. His current contract with Palace expires at the end of the season.

The absence of Zaha will be a significant loss for Palace, as the talented forward has once again proven to be a crucial player for the team. With his speed and skill on the ball, he has made a significant impact this season and will surely be missed in the upcoming match against Manchester United.
