Ronaldo Discloses Heart-melting Conversation With Ronaldo Jnr Amid His Suspension
Not just does Ronaldo wish for his son to be a better player but he is also working to make sure the 12-year-old learns from all the mistakes he may have made in his career.
Speaking in the interview with Piers Morgan, Ronaldo has shared the conversation he had with his first son following his suspension from the first team against Chelsea.
Ronaldo stormed out of the stadium in anger after feeling disrespected by the manager who decided to put him for the final three minutes of the game.
With United cementing the whole issue with a 3 days ban, Ronaldo shared that the ban is in some way too big despite his actions which he claims is solely on emotions.
“I remember arriving home and Cristiano [his son] saw me and said ‘Daddy did you not go to the game?’ I say ‘No, because the club punish me with three days’,” Ronaldo said.
“To be honest, I never had a problem with any club, with any coach. And they suspend me for three days, which I felt it was a lot – and the level of sport, clubs, I felt a lot. It was a shame.
“And he [his son] said ‘How they’re going to punish you if you are the best player in the world and you’re not gonna play?’ I said ‘No I’m not gonna play because I have not been behaving’. And he said, ‘My Daddy’s not be behaving, what?’
“In one way, I was good because I was like, more relaxed, but in the same way, I feel very disappointed because, okay, I regret, I apologize, I’m not perfect, I made a mistake [leaving the Spurs game early].
“But suspending me for three games, for that, I think it’s too much. And then they make fire for the press, which really disappointed me.”
