Peter Shalulile

The Namibian forward has been in devastating form this season and currently leads the goal king race in the South African Premier Soccer League. 

The highly-rated forward has scored 22 goals in 29 matches for the Brazilians in what has been an electrifying campaign, providing five assists in the Premier Division to take Sundowns to another league triumph. He is agile, innovative and an imaginative forward who has excelled with the ball at his feet and defense ahead of him. A potent goal-getter, his record as a clinical finisher has never been in doubt. Shalulile was named the player of the month for April 2022 following his heroics in the league.

The 28-year-old joined Mamelodi Sundowns in 2018 from Namibian outfit Highlands Park.

Khama Billiat

Club: Kaizer Chiefs

Position: Midfielder / Winger 

Nationality: Zimbabwean 

Bill is a veteran in the South African league, having arrived in the country in 2010 to join Ajax Cape Town, before switching to feature for giants Mamelodi Sundowns and now Kaizer Chiefs. For a long time, he was the face of South African Premier League football – and has a decorated trophy cabinet most would kill for.

The 31-year-old leads the assists board with eight and seven goals in the Premier Soccer League. The Zimbabwean is a household name in the league and is revered on the continent for helping Sundowns win the CAF Champions League. He has had both highs and lows, but one thing that has never been questioned is his quality and scoring ability, engineering three South African league titles. His outstanding display has seen the Chiefs sit fourth on the table. Billiat is an incredibly technical, fluid, skillful midfielder cum winger, capable of firing in long-range bullets and free-kicks as well as slotting home clinically from close range. 

Keegan Dolly

Club: Kaizer Chiefs

Position: Midfielder 

Nationality: South African

The South African international has distinguished himself in the Premier Soccer League (PSL), churning out consistent displays for the Kaizer Chiefs week-in and week-out. 

The midfielder has been clinical for the Amakhosi, taking his sizzling form to a notch higher after scoring eight goals and providing five assists in the ongoing campaign. Dolly is also a regular for the South African national team,  the Bafana Bafana. The playmaker extraordinaire is a proven ball-winner and a tenacious footballer who continues to gain currency in the local media for his startling performances. His presence in the Chiefs squad is a reason for their fourth-place position on the league log.

Victor Sepana Letsoalo

Club: Royal AM

Age: 29

Position: Striker 

Nationality: South African

Victor Sepana Letsoalo is one of the stars of the South African league in the 2021/22 season. 

The Johannesburg-born striker has single-handedly carried Royal AM to third place in the South Africa Premier Division League. He has been a scoring machine for his side this season, notching 14 goals in 26 matches so far to make him one of the standout performers this campaign.  He is just behind Mamelodi Sundowns’ Peter Shalulile in the goal king race. The hitman, who joined Royal AM from French outfit Montpellier, is one of the consistent and reliable goal merchants. 

Themba Zwane

Club: Mamelodi Sundowns

Age: 32

Position: Midfielder 

Nationality: South African

Themba Zwane has been the pivot in Sundown’s dominating campaign. The South Africa midfielder has provided seven assists and scored five goals for the Brazilian, who have retained the 2021-22 title. This will be his sixth league title, having joined Sundowns in 2014 from Black Aces. 

He is also a regular player for the senior national team of South Africa, the Bafana Bafana. Zwane has won countless individual honors in his native country including being crowned 2020-21 PFA Player of the Season.  He also won the Mamelodi Sundowns Player of the Season in the 2019-2020 campaign. The 2019-20 Sundowns Players’ Player of the Season has an outrageous technique and skill-set.
