Aryna Sabalenka’s boyfriend, former NHL player Konstantin Koltsov, died suddenly, at the age of 42.

The tragic news was reported on Tuesday.

Despite this tragic event, world No. 2 is confirmed to take part in the Miami Open and will face Paula Badosa.

“It’s also a shock for me because she’s my best friend and I don’t want to see her suffer. It’s very difficult. Playing against her won’t be pleasant at all,” Badosa said.
