Bookmaker-Ratings expert Emmanuel Adebayor has made his prediction for Thursday’s FIFA World Cup Group G match between Brazil and Serbia.
Brazil have a lot of world-class stars, led by Neymar, who already at this World Cup can break the record of the famous “King of Football,” Pele, in goals for the national team if he scores only two goals. Pele now has 77 goals, while Neymar already has 75.
Seleção have a very elite team capable of winning this event, this tournament. They haven’t reached a final since their last success in 2002, but Neymar and a squad packed with skill, tenacity, and experience are the favorites to take home the cup.
Moreover, Tite’s side didn’t lose any match during the World Cup qualification, they scored 40 goals and conceded only 5.
Serbia are also the top team. They haven’t made it out of the groups in their last two attempts, but with Dusan Vlahovic, Dusan Tadic, and Aleksandar Mitrovic up in attack and Sergej Milenkovic-Savic in midfield, they may be a tough test for any team in Group G.
My prediction? Brazil power in their attack will cause problems for Serbia and there could be more than 2 goals to be scored. Brazil are clear favorites in this game.
I would say Brazil will win by 2 or 3 goals
