The Brooklyn Nets looking for a repeat of their first game performance

This match could easily be the toughest matchup in the semi-finals of both conferences. Both teams are favorites to go on and win the NBA title let alone their conference. The Nets have the best roster in the NBA in the opinion of all pundits and they weren’t shaken when James Harden was benched in the first game due to a hamstring injury.

After Harden’s exit, the Nets’ role players took charge. Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving both scored 29 and 25 points respectively. Blake Griffin did a great job defensively limiting Giannis Antetokounmpo’s offensive prowess as much as possible and scoring 18 points himself while grabbing 14 rebounds. It was notable Harris’s five three points from nine attempts.

Milwaukee Bucks need to find their offensive form

The Bucks relied heavily on Giannis Antetokounmpo in game one and even though the greek giant did his best offensively with his powerful penetrations and mid-range shots, coach Mike Budenholzer must find help from other players in his team if he wants to even the series on Tuesday. The Bucks made just six of 20 shots from the arc of three points.

It was a night that just didn’t work out for the Bucks as they struggled from the field taking into consideration that they are the best offensive team in the regular season in the NBA with scoring on average 120.1 points per game. Giannis’s teammates need to step up in game two especially players like Middleton and Holiday who ended up with 13 and 17 points respectively.

Key Stats

  • The Nets are averaging 122 points per game in the playoffs
  • The Bucks are averaging 116.2 points per game in the playoffs
  • Brooklyn are making 49.1% of their field goals
  • Milwaukee are making 46.3% of their field goals

Brooklyn Nets vs Milwaukee Bucks Prediction

The Nets couldn’t stop Giannis Antetokounmpo in game one but luckily for them the other Bucks players weren’t shooting well and they could wrap up game one with a win.

Coach Steve Nash has to gamble by double-teaming Giannis and letting other Bucks players open and hope that they’ll have a similar game to game one.

Despite Harden’s injury, The Nets are still slightly favorites to win game two in New York. we predict the Bucks will have a better game and things can be much more closer than it was in game one. We will back the total points of the game.
