Chile – Argentina. Konstantin Genich’s prediction
My first option was to back both teams to score here. Chile and Argentina have both an excellent set of attacking players. Chile are playing at home and they’ll definitely go forward just after the starting whistle with a risk to get a counter attack from Argentina.
We can’t say that Gerardo Martino’s side plays solid in defence. We all know how awful Demichelis can be, and it’s not clear if Otamendi is fit to play. But sometimes things that happen in the matches with Latin American teams can’t really be explained.
Argentina always score before the break, but I want to go the other way. It’s time for them to score in the second half.
I don’t think that Chile will offer an open play to their opponent. As we remember, these teams were unable to score in normal and extra time in the final game of the last Copa America. But now Chile needs these three points at home. After the break they’ll try to press their opponent giving Argentina some free space to run in.
Messi, Di Maria, Higuain, Aguero and others can surely bring some problems to Chile. So I back Argentina to score in the second half.
