CSKA Moscow – FC Krasnodar. Dmitry Khlestkin’s prediction
Krasnodar have played some very good football recently. The team got 19 out of possible 21 points from the last seven league games, scoring 22 goals in the process. This is particularly impressive when we consider that the Russian League is a low-scoring one.
However, they recently lost 3-1 at the hands of CSKA in the Russian Cup semi-final. And they are facing the same opponent again.
CSKA are fighting for the league title and can’t afford to lose points, so there’s sitting back would make little sense from their point of view. On the other hand the Krasnodar attacking group is in extremely good form and are likely to cause the CSKA defense plenty of trouble. Krasnodar striker Smolov has scored 13 goals in the last 7 games, and, in front of the national team coach, will be looking to continue such form.
The last four games between these two resulted in a both teams to score outcome. Once again this bet looks a likely outcome, and, at odds of 1.91, looks the way to go here.
