After a huge game three, Los Angeles Clippers looking to tie the series

Kawhi Leonard and Paul George delivered top-notch performances in game three of the NBA Western Conference semi-final clash. Leonard scored 34 points and George added 31 in a game in which the Clippers beat the Jazz by 132-106. Paul George shot 34.2% from the field in the first two games but in game three he was 50% from the two-point range and scored 6-10 shots from the arc.

Utah Jazz need to show more aggression in defense

The playoffs can be very daunting as the Jazz experienced in game three of their series with the Clippers. After two wins in Utah, the Jazz couldn’t keep up with a Clippers offense that tore their defense apart especially in the fourth quarter when the home team scored 38 points and outscored the best team of the regular season by 15 points.

The worrying thing for coach Quin Snyder is the fact that his team lost the match despite shooting 43.2% (19-44) from downtown. What made the Jazz lose the game was the Clippers’ high percentage of close-range shooting with 58.5%. Coach Snyder needs to address this weakness with his team and be more decisive in their defense.

The third game was a very bad game for Utah and at the same time unexpected. After two games where Utah won by three and six points difference, the Clippers showed their offensive power and won by 26 points.

Utah need to regroup defensively and close down Leonard and George. Game three showed that the Clippers can turn this series around and if coach Quin Snyder doesn’t correct the mistakes and weaknesses in that game.
